David W. MacLennan Appointed to Ecolab Board

The board of directors of Ecolab Inc. has appointed David W. MacLennan to the Ecolab board, according to a Business Wire press release.

Mr. MacLennan, age 56, is chairman and chief executive officer of Cargill, Inc., a leading global producer and marketer of food, agricultural, financial and industrial products and services headquartered in Minneapolis.

America's Top 10 Largest Private Companies, a private company research firm, recently released its list of the top 100 largest private companies based on 2014 revenue.

One of the key takeaways from their research was the fact that 3% of the companies accounted for 18% of the total revenues of the top 100. Additionally, 15% of companies accounted for half of the total revenue generated. For 2014, the top 50 companies reported revenues above $11.4 billion or greater.

Ovid Therapeutics Inc. (Ovid), a privately held biopharmaceutical company focused on developing therapies for rare and orphan diseases of the brain, today announced that Bart Friedman has joined the Company’s Board of Directors, according to a Business Wire press release.

Mr. Friedman is a senior partner at the Wall Street law firm Cahill Gordon & Reindel LLP and is Chairman of its Business Development Committee.
