Adm. (Ret.) James Stavridis

Stavridis retired as a 4-star Admiral after over 30 years in the U.S. Navy. Among his many commands were four years as the 16th Supreme Allied Commander at NATO, where he oversaw operations in Afghanistan, Libya, Syria, the Balkans, and piracy off the coast of Africa. He currently is chair emeritus of the board of the U.S. Naval Institute and a senior fellow at Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory. He is a monthly columnist for Time magazine and chief international security analyst for NBC News.
