Click to ReplayAs cybersecurity risks mount exponentially, Board members and IT security professionals face the daunting real-world challenge of protecting their company’s most valuable information from theft and loss. The recent study "Bridging the Gap: The Cybersecurity Governance Survey", conducted by the Ponemon Institute, shows significant gaps in knowledge, visibility and trust between those who serve on organizations’ Board of Directors – responsible for governance – and IT security professionals – responsible for the day-to-day risk management. Given the significant impact a breach can have on the overall business, cybersecurity threats are no longer simply an IT security challenge. Board oversight must get in alignment with the perceived and actual reality faced by IT security teams, and to do so must close the identified gaps. If not, companies will not adequately protect themselves from cybersecurity threats—resulting in unacceptable risk of revenue, customer, brand, and shareholder losses.
Join director Suzanne M. "Zan" Vautrinot, Larry Ponemon, Ph.D., Chairman and Founder, CIPP at Ponemon Institute, and Jim Jaeger Chief Cyber Strategist at Fidelis Cybersecurity on a webinar about the three critical gaps in the cyber knowledge, visibility and trust and how organizations should address these critical gap that are putting them at further risk - learn more:
