Suzanne M. "Zan" Vautrinot

Suzanne “Zan” Vautrinot is President of Kilovolt Consulting Inc. and a retired Major General of the U.S. Air Force, with three decades of experience in space and cyber operations.  She retired as Commander, 24th Air Force and Air Forces Cyber Command where she oversaw a multi-billion dollar cyber enterprise; leading a workforce of 14,000 military, civilian and contractor personnel, while supporting 850,000 customers and conducting cyber operations worldwide.  Zan previously served as Deputy Commander for the nation’s Network Warfare Command and was instrumental in the establishment and early operation of US Cyber Command.  She is universally respected as a motivational leader and change agent.  As a cyber subject matter expert, she addresses technical, business and university forums, guides key task forces, and has testified before Congress.  She currently advises industry, academia as well as government agencies and laboratories on Cybersecurity strategy, technology innovation and workforce development.  

Zan presently serves on the Boards of Directors for Wells Fargo, Symantec Corporation, ECOLAB Inc., and Parsons Corporation.   She is also an advisor to the Air Force Doctrine Advisory Group, America300, the University of Texas Pre-Freshman Engineering Program, and serves on the Board of Directors for the Uniformed Services Benefit Association

She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the U.S. Air Force Academy and Master of Science degree from the University of Southern California.  She also graduated from the Air Command and Staff College and Air War College, and was a National Security Fellow at the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. 

Dr. Larry Ponemon

Chairman and Founder, Ponemon Institute

Dr. Larry Ponemon is the Chairman and Founder of the Ponemon Institute, a research “think tank” dedicated to advancing privacy, data protection and information security practices.  Dr. Ponemon is considered a pioneer in privacy auditing and the Responsible Information Management or RIM framework. Security Magazine has named Dr. Ponemon as one of the “Most Influential People for Security.”
 
Dr. Ponemon was appointed to the Advisory Committee for Online Access & Security for the United States Federal Trade Commission. He was appointed by the White House to the Data Privacy and Integrity Advisory Committee for the Department of Homeland Security. Dr. Ponemon was also an appointed to two California State task forces on privacy and data security laws. He serves as chairman of the Government Policy Advisory Committee and co-chair of the Internet Task Force for the Council of American Survey and Research Organizations (CASRO).
 
Dr. Ponemon was a senior partner of PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he founded the firm’s global compliance risk management group. Prior to joining Price Waterhouse as a partner, Dr. Ponemon served as the National Director of Business Ethics Services for KPMG Peat Marwick, and was appointed Executive Director of the KPMG Business Ethics Institute.
 
Dr. Ponemon has held chaired (tenured) faculty positions and published numerous articles and learned books.  He has presented hundreds of keynote speeches or learned presentations at national or international conferences on privacy, data protection, information security, corporate governance, and responsible information management.  Dr. Ponemon is an active member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals, serving as founding member of the Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) Advisory Board. 
 
Dr. Ponemon earned his Ph.D. at Union College in Schenectady, New York. He has a Master’s degree from Harvard University, Cambridge, Massachusetts, and attended the doctoral program in system sciences at Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Dr. Ponemon earned his Bachelors with Highest Distinction from the University of Arizona, Tucson, Arizona.  He is a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Information Privacy Professional 

Jim Jaeger

Chief Cyber Strategist, Fidelis Cybersecurity

Jim Jaeger serves as Chief Cyber Strategist for Fidelis Cybersecurity, responsible for developing and evolving the company's cyber services strategy while synchronizing it with product strategy.
 
Jim previously managed the Network Defense and Forensics business area at Fidelis including the Digital Forensics Lab. Previously, he held leadership roles for a wide range of cyber programs, including General Dynamics' support for the DoD Cyber Crime Center, the Defense Computer Forensics Lab, and the Defense Cyber Crime Institute.  
 
Jim is a former Brigadier General in the United States Air Force. His military service includes stints as Director of Intelligence for the U.S. Atlantic Command, Assistant Deputy Director of Operations at the National Security Agency, and Commander of the Air Force Technical Applications Center. 
 
Jim frequently advises organizations on strategies to mitigate damage caused by network breaches and prevent their reoccurrence. He also presents on Large Scale Breach “Lessons Learned” at cyber symposiums worldwide.
