Families will protect and invest in what they love: “The most valuable strategic assets of any family company are patient capital, long-term perspectives and value-based leadership. None of these are possible without the ongoing education, involvement and emotional investment of succeeding generations. A dynamic private board effectively oversees the strategy and leadership of the operating business to ensure that they tightly align with the values, purpose and shared vision of the owners. To achieve this across succeeding generations, the board can ensure that there are decision-making and communication processes in place that protect and guide the family company.”
