Ensure compliance with ethical standards and regulations: “Strong governance is the backbone of a resilient, ethical and thriving organization.  With the growth of Quantum and AI, the board plays a critical role in overseeing the company’s operations, development, deployment, and ethical use, societal implication, conduct, strategic directions and responsible decision-making mitigating potential risks including cybersecurity threats. The board must ensure companies are setting principles, policies, global guidelines, establishing oversight mechanisms, and monitoring projects to ensure compliance with ethical standards and regulations as well as creating awareness among relevant stakeholders.  They also must ensure experts, policymakers and senior executives are assigned to shape and provide ongoing input.”
