Honoring legacy while striving for improvement: “Directors need to balance honoring the company’s legacy and embracing its culture and vision with advancing approaches for continuous improvement. Successfully influencing future-focused business discussions and impactful decisions requires fostering trusted relationships and respect among ownership, board members and executive management. While sharing valuable insights for seizing opportunities and promoting resilience to navigate dynamic business environments, directors must balance what is possible with what is feasible given the company’s unique strengths, challenges and evolutionary stage.  It is critical to encourage a realistic, bespoke pace of change and accomplishments to thrive, drive success and meet stakeholder expectations.”
