Optomec Elects Former Broadcom Chairman John Major to Board of Directors
Optomec, a leading global supplier of production grade additive manufacturing systems for 3D printed metals and 3D printed electronics, aannounced that John E. Major, former chairman of the board and lead independent director at Broadcom, has been elected to serve as the first of two new members on the Optomec Board of Directors, according to a Business Wire press release.
Major served as chairman of the board at Broadcom from May 2008 through May 2014. During his tenure, Broadcom experienced 80% growth to over $8 billion in revenue and became one of the top 10 semiconductor manufacturers in the world.
