Mark Fields


Fields is a current senior adviser at TPG Capital and former president and CEO of Ford Motor Co. from 2014 to 2017. Fields joined Ford Motor Co. in 1989, progressing through a number of leadership roles in the U.S., South America, Asia and Europe. He was chief operating officer from 2012 to 2014, and as CEO and COO, he was responsible for overseeing Ford’s fastest global manufacturing expansion in 50 years. He is credited with being the force behind Ford’s SYNC in-vehicle connectivity system, the aluminum-bodied F-150 pickup truck and the creation of Ford’s Palo Alto, Calif. Research center. He currently sits on the boards of Qualcomm, Ellucian, CLEAResult, and Transplace.
