Rachel E. Sherman

Sherman is in her current position since 2019. She also serves as a faculty member in the department of population health, Harvard Pilgrim Health Care, Harvard University. She spent nearly 30 years with the FDA, most recently as principal deputy commissioner of food and drugs. During her career at the FDA, she spearheaded HIV drug development during the height of the AIDS crisis, and guided the establishment of the oncology center of excellence (OCE) and sentinel initiative and the evidence generation program.
