Seema Verma
Verma is the longest-serving administrator of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS, serving from 2017 until 2021. She oversaw health insurance programs for over 140 million Americans, oversaw a budget of $1.3 trillion, and 6,000 employees. She also served on the White House COVID-19 task force. Prior to CMS, she was the founder and CEO of a health policy consulting firm helping states and private industry.
