
Stan Silverman
Vice Chairman, Board of Trustees, Drexel University
Stan Silverman is the former president and CEO of PQ Corporation, a global company operating in North America, South America, Europe and Asia Pacific. He also is founder and CEO of Silverman Leadership and is vice chairman of the board of trustees of Drexel University. He has served on the boards of numerous public and private companies, private equity companies, and non-profits. His weekly nationally syndicated column on leadership, entrepreneurship and corporate governance appears in the Philadelphia Business Journal and 42 affiliated business publications across the United States.
Silverman earned a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering and an MBA degree from Drexel University. He is also an alumnus of the Advanced Management Program at the Harvard Business School.

Carol Ward
Vice President and Corporate Secretary, Mondelez International, Inc.
Carol Ward was appointed vice president and corporate secretary of Kraft Foods in October 2006, which six years later became Mondelēz International. Ms. Ward and her team provide legal counsel and guidance to the board of directors, senior management, and employees on all matters of corporate governance, corporate securities, SEC reporting and compliance and employee benefits.
Ms. Ward began her career at CIGNA Corporation, holding positions in its investment and group insurance law departments. Later, she was named assistant corporate secretary and was named corporate secretary. She was appointed to the additional position of chief compliance officer and served in that role for about eight years.
Ms. Ward is a member of the American Bar Association and was a member of its committee on corporate laws; a member and former chairman of the Society of Corporate Secretaries and Governance Professionals; and a member and past president of the Stockholder Relations Society of New York. She also serves as a member of the Association of Corporate Counsel. She was a founding member of the advisory board of the John L. Weinberg Center for Corporate Governance at the Lerner College of Business & Economics, University of Delaware.
